  • Purchasing Administrative Assistant - WV

    Purchasing Administrative Assistant will assist management in secretarial duties. We are looking for an individual who is efficient and comfortable being a member of a team.      Taking pictures of any damaged goods or in need of return, contacting vendors for
    RMA's or missing "goods" following these items throughout the return process and
    receiving the correct, new item, or credit for the item.
     Update pricing on items as they change, create codes on vendor items as they are
    ordered, adjust as discrepancies are found in stock.
     Place Purchase orders for Door Sales, PO's for Glass, lace warehouse orders for
    warehouse use.
     Compare pricing between vendors, also taking into consideration timeframe and
    shipping costs to get material needed in a cost effective and timely manner.

     Answer Glassworks’ Customers’ calls to help manage any ticket questions or accept
    payments from them while Sr. Glazier is out on jobs throughout the day. Assist Sr.
    Glazier with sending out or trying to get Glass Cliental credit applications to establish
    credit with us for future work.
     Glass inventory, vendor list, and getting Glass B&O taxes caught up to date along
    Glass Contractors License to be able to work in the municipalities paid to date.
     Supporting all Door and Glass Employees
     Making sure all documentation that comes out of the Department is held to company
    standards and has the correct information it needs to help track and document all
    orders

    Perform comprehensive structural calculations using MathCAD to verify the integrity and safety of falsework designs.

    Provide estimates and/or material takeoffs for construction materials on projects in the pre-bid or construction phase.

    Train and mentor other team members on best practices for construction material estimating and takeoffs.

    Ensure all designs fully comply with PennDOT specifications, regulations, and design manuals, as well as AASHTO Load and

    Resistance Factor Design (LRFD) standards.

    Collaborate with project managers, sales teams, and clients to understand project requirements and provide engineering solutions.

    Review and stamp engineering drawings as a licensed Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania.

    Maintain accurate and organized project documentation, including design files, calculations, and correspondence.

    Provide technical support and expertise to internal teams and external stakeholders.

    Stay current with industry best practices, new technologies, and changes in PennDOT and AASHTO standards.

    Assist in the development of junior engineering staff, if applicable.

    Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of PennDOT design standards and guidelines, and AASHTO LRFD specifications.

    Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze complex engineering challenges and develop innovative and practical solutions.

    Attention to Detail: Meticulous in design and calculation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

    Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to clearly articulate technical information to diverse audiences.

    Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a team environment and with external partners.

    Time Management: Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines.

    Reports to: General Manager

    Hours: Full-time, Monday – Friday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

    Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related field.

    Certifications/Experience: Professional Engineer (PE) certification in Pennsylvania required, with a minimum of five (5) years of post-baccalaureate experience in structural engineering, preferably with a focus on bridge falsework or heavy highway construction.
