  • Warehouse - WV

    OVERVIEW: Candidate will work primarily in the warehouse.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Being able to stand and work on feet for most of the shift
    • Miscellaneous warehouse duties – i.e. painting, boxing supplies, etc.
    • Must be able operate a forklift
    • Stock shelves
    • Help load and unload trucks for delivery in a safe and timely fashion
    • Assist in general housekeeping of warehouse and display area

  • Accounting Assistant - Pittsburgh

    OVERVIEW:

    Supports accounting operations by filing documents; reconciling statements; running software programs and making collection calls. This position is Full-time.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Experience in accounting software systems a plus
    • Knowledge of debit/credit process – A/P, A/R
    • Microsoft Excel experience necessary
    • Understanding of material certifications, a plus
    • Balance books and process expenditures, receivables, payables – Month end, year end

  • Steel Rebar Fabricator - WV

    OVERVIEW:

    Steel Rebar Fabricator will work in our cast concrete and rebar fabrication shop. We work on various industrial, commercial, institutional, and related projects that supply the construction field. The role of Rebar Fabricator is to be responsible for all aspects of Steel Rebar Fabrication as well as assist with warehouse/yard functions including the receiving, storing, handling, shipping and preparing of product for customer delivery while maintaining the warehouse/yard in a safe and orderly fashion.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    · Cut and fabricate rebar per drawings and orders.
    · Follow required safety and maintenance schedules for machinery
    · Notify Rebar Sales when you have confusing or what you feel are incorrect instructions.
    · Package projects in a clear and understandable format for customers.
    · Provide excellent customer service to all “pick-up” customers.
    · Receive materials coming into the building by vendors, customers, or other warehouses accurately and promptly.
    · Verify the quantity and description of materials received by checking product against the Purchase Order.
    · Examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items and appropriately report/record any discrepancies.
    · Accurately place materials on shelves, in racks, in yard or other designated storage areas in a timely manner.
    · Assemble and fill orders to be delivered to customers. Pack and load product onto personal trucks according to company specifications.
    · Assist in verifying loads on delivery trucks to ensure accurate quantities and identifying any discrepancies.
    · Assist in verifying weight compliance is within limits on all loads prior to leaving the yard.
    · Protects organization reputation by keeping pricing, promotion, purchase order, and credit-limit information confidential.
    · Completes all required documentation accurately and timely.
    · Represent the company in its best light with honesty and integrity in every setting.
    · Willingness / Ability to gain product knowledge.

    COMPETENCIES:
    · Able to work in concrete production facilities and on construction sites indoors and outdoors Environment can be dirty and noisy
    · Wears appropriate protective clothing and equipment including gloves, ear protection and respirators when necessary
    · Stands frequently and walks about the work areas to monitor and adjust the plant and add ingredients. Squatting, crouching or kneeling may be required occasionally
    · Twisting the body or neck may be required occasionally
    · Bending is occasionally required to facilitate the lifting of items to add to the production process
    · Machine operating experience
    · At least 3 years’ experience
    · Previous Experience with rebar processing equipment a plus
    · Forklift Certification is a plus
    · Knowledge of how to use hand tools, Forklift and Rebar bending machine
    · Must be able to lift 100 pounds on a regular basis (physically demanding position)

  • Glazier - WV

    OVERVIEW:  Candidate will be able to cut, grind, drill and polish glass.  This candidate will handle sheets of glass in the warehouse meeting the specifications of the customer’s request.  This candidate must have previous Glazier experience.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Knowledge how to install glass, doors, frames, and necessary hardware needed
    • Able to lift 100 – 150 lbs with assistance
    • Installs glass in millwork products, such as doors, window sashes, china closets, and office partitions: Places door or sash on worktable and inserts precut glass in opening, or inserts glass as products pass on conveyor, using either of following methods: Inserts precut molding into window opening around edges of glass and taps molding against glass edges, using hammer and wood block.
    • Tacks molding to frame, using hammer or staple gun.
    • Fastens glass into window opening, driving glazier’s points into frame over glass, using point-driving tool.
    • Presses and smoothes putty into angle formed by glass and wood to make joint watertight, using putty knife.
    • Spread sealing compound around edges of opening before inserting glass, using air gun or knife.
    • Fit framed glass into openings in doors and screw frame to door, using screwdriver.
    • Cut glass.
    • May be designated according to glass installed as Door-Glass Installer; Window Assembler.

    COMPETENCIES

    • At least 3 years of experience doing glazier work
    • Professional demeanor at all times
    • Good time management and organizational skills
    • Knowledge of math when using measurements
    • Knowledge how to run all power tool equipment beneficial (Drill, circular saw, etc.)

  • Administrative Sales Analyst - Pittsburgh

    George L. Wilson & Co., the tri-state’s number one source for high quality construction equipment and supplies is currently looking for an Administrative Sales Analyst employee. We have been serving the construction industry in Western PA and West Virginia since 1969.

    TITLE:
    Administrative Sales Analyst- Pittsburgh

    OVERVIEW:
    Administrative Analyst will be challenged to provide direct administrative support to the Sales employees in addition to logistical support to Sr. Management. You will provide and compose spreadsheets to current and new sales opportunities. We are looking for an individual who is efficient and comfortable being a member of a team. The ability to multi-task, while maintaining complex schedules and managing administrative support, is essential in this position. The ideal candidate for this job is resourceful, a good problem solver and organized. Assuring a steady completion of workload in a timely manner is key to success in this position.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Creating a various of databases
    • Sharing databases with Sales and Management on a weekly basis
    • Data entry
    • Providing direct administrative support to Sales team
    • Provide logistical support for Sr. Management – being able to give a direct explanation of where data entered came from
    • Keep track of construction jobs and sales opportunities in George L. Wilson’s territoies using subscribed services such as Builders Exchange and Dodge
    • Keep track of which sales people have called on which opportunities using CRM, Customer Relationship Management software; such as Sales Force or Microsoft Dynamics
    • Uncover federal, state and municipal opportunities using subscribed and freely available web sites
    • Support salespeople by helping them log their contacts and opportunities in CRM software
    • Support marketing efforts by using CRM software to generate appropriate email and mailing lists

    COMPETENCIES:
    • Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel
    • Exceptional computer, time management, and organizational skills
    • Previous experience of construction products helpful but not necessary

    • Willingness to learn and train
