  • Highway Project Manager - Sales

    We are currently looking for a Project Manager – Sales Representative. 

    Responsibilities and Requirements for this position include:

    • Knowledge is highway or bridge development a must
    • Knowledge in PennDOT standards a plus
    • Knowledge on existing or emerging PennDOT regulations
    • Make personal sales calls at customer sites on regular basis
    • Follow-up on all generated quotes
    • Assist customers with problem-solving
    • Execute sales efforts in an ethical and professional manner while representing company on and offsite
    • Exceptional time management and organizational skills required
    • Commitment to demonstrate high level of professionalism
    • Ability to lift, carry, and transport work-related materials to client site (frequently weighing 80 lbs, occasionally more than 80 lbs. Company truck provided.)
    • Ability to visit and move around at construction and other work sites, including the ability to maneuver in tight or small spaces.
    • Degree in engineering or closely related field with 3 years of relevant sales and industry experience; or equivalent combined education and on the job experience.

    This candidate will be trained in-house before stepping into outside role. Territory is established but there is always room for growth potential.

  • Inside Sales - Northern Westmoreland County

    George L. Wilson & Co., the tri-state’s number one source for high quality construction equipment and supplies is currently looking for an Inside Sales Representative. We have been serving the construction industry in Western PA and West Virginia since 1969.

    OVERVIEW:

    This candidate will be trained in-house and work with other Inside Sales Reps. They will work to meet customers’ needs and answer questions in a timely fashion. They should always have the best interest of the customer and George L. Wilson & Co, Inc. in mind. This position is located in our Westmoreland Area office.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Greet customers
    • Knowledge of sealers, mesh, concrete supplies, or rebar
    • Help with inventory, ordering, counting, stocking shelves
    • Prepare quotes and follow up on submitted quotes
    • Ship and receive UPS packages
    • Troubleshoot questions from customers
    • Computer experience a requirement
    • Previous sales or construction knowledge, a plus
    • Stay current on existing and emerging product
    • Maintain a professional/working image in self and work environment

    COMPETENCIES:

    HOURS:

    Monday – Friday position 7:30 am – 4:30 pm with no weekend hours.

    Job duties for this position include:

    • Being able to stand and work on feet for most of the shift
    • Able to lift at least 50 – 100 lbs when required
    • Miscellaneous warehouse duties – i.e. painting, boxing supplies, etc.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Being able to stand and work on feet for most of the shift
    • Able to lift at least 50 – 100 lbs when required
    • Miscellaneous warehouse duties – i.e. painting, boxing supplies, etc.
    • Must be able operate a forklift
    • Stock shelves
    • Help load and unload trucks for delivery in a safe and timely fashion
    • Assist in general housekeeping of warehouse and display area
    • Follow all union related requirements and regulations

  • Steel Rebar Estimator

    TITLE:

    Steel Rebar Estimating – WV

    OVERVIEW:

    Candidate will have previous experience in construction project management, be organized, motivated, detail-oriented and driven.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Review and evaluate cost estimates
    • Communicate with trade partners and team members regarding new and current projects
    • Prepare estimates and purchase orders in detail for all products
    • Ensure timely completion of estimates
    • Understand scope of work to bid
    • Manage bid pricing from all vendors
    • Prepare cost analysis
    • Establish and maintain working relationships with vendors and subcontractors

    COMPETENCIES:

    • Experience with fabricating rebar, or doing rebar take off
    • 3+ years’ experience in construction estimating
    • Able to read aSa software
    • Able to read blueprints and develop cost estimates
    • Able to make placement drawings for rebar
    • Able to do material takeoff
    • Strong understanding of construction processes
    • Proficiency with MS Word and Excel
    • Able to multi-task and meet strict deadlines
    • Impeccable problem-solving skills
    • Sales experience also a plus
