  • Rebar Fabricator - WV

    OVERVIEW:

    Rebar Fabricator will work in our rebar fabrication shop. We need someone who can fabricate rebar which entails knowing how to run rebar bending equipment and figuring how to cut rebar for bending. Experience in the fabrication of rebar and willing to do other jobs around the yard as needed; like assisting in unloading and loading trucks helping in the warehouse with customers and ground maintenance.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Rebar fabrication, tying and related experience is a plus
    • Ability to read blueprints
    • Rebar fabrication
    • Tying rebar
    • Material handling
    • Equipment operation
    • Physical labor and heavy work at times
    • Must be able to work in warm temperatures while still being able to carry, cut, and bend rebar for customer orders 

    COMPETENCIES:

    • Wears appropriate protective clothing and equipment including gloves, ear protection and respirators when necessary
    • Lifting up to 50 LBS
    • Stands frequently and walks about the work areas to monitor and adjust the plant and add ingredients. Squatting, crouching or kneeling may be required occasionally
    • Twisting the body or neck may be required occasionally
    • Bending is occasionally required to facilitate the lifting of items to add to the production process
    • Machine operating experience.

  • Door Fabricator - WV

    OVERVIEW:
    Fabricating aluminum and other associated tasks in the creation of architectural doors, windows, frames, and similar products.

     

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Punching door rails & stiles (may require flipping material around)
    • Punching frame jambs & headers (may require flipping material around)
    • Prepping parts (may require looking down, using hand tools for a full shift)
    • Assembling doors (may require looking down, using hand tools for a full shift)
    • Welding doors
    • Lifting doors that weight from 25-100 lbs.
    • Operating equipment for a full shift (saw, mill, etc.). This will include lifting, loading, and unloading metal, pushing or pulling carts, and lifting from low carts
    • Packing doors and frames (Requires lifting, twisting, turning, etc)
    • Boxes could weight 1 to 50 lbs. (May require using Stocking hardware room. ladder, squatting, lifting, etc.)
    • Pulling Metal. (Parts could be 24’ and may weight 10 to 125 lbs.)
    • May be required to handle steel bar or channel
    • Regular and predictable attendance, the ability to safely perform tasks, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of your job

     

    COMPETENCIES:

    • Must speak, read, and understand blueprint drawings
    • Ability to read and interpret basic mathematical measurements and effectively read and use a tape measure
    • Ability to use machinery and hand tools to fabricate products
    • Ability to stand for 8 hours on your feet
    • Ability to twist, turn, squat, climb, lift, push, and pull throughout the shift
    • Must have the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. unassisted
    • Ability to work in varied temperatures consistent with same climate conditions of the region (Heat, humidity, etc.)

  • Accounting Clerk - Pittsburgh

    TITLE:Accounting Clerk – (GLW)

    OVERVIEW:

    Supports accounting operations by filing documents; reconciling statements; running software programs, making collection calls, and managing clients’ accounts that are assigned.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Experience in accounting software systems a plus
    • Knowledge of debit/credit process
    • Microsoft Excel experience necessary
    • Understanding of material certifications, a plus
    • Balance books and complete periodic reports on expenditures, receivables, payables
    • Understands accounting basics skills
    • Check invoices against statements, check credit memos
    • Post journal entries to ledger

  • Inside Sales - Door Dept - WV

    George L. Wilson & Co., the tri-state’s number one source for high quality construction equipment and supplies is currently looking for an Inside Sales Rep – Door Dept. We have been serving the construction industry in Western PA and West Virginia since 1969.

    OVERVIEW:

    You will provide assistance to customers as they purchase the materials and tools they need for a wide variety of door replacement projects.  From the moment you greet customers until their sales have been finalized, you will provide them with superior service and exterior building supply expertise. In this role, it is helpful to have experience with exterior building supplies, primarily and doors, so that you are familiar with the various products and associated terminology.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Determining customers’ needs and recommending appropriate products and solutions
    • Following product/supply checklist for each customer’s specific job and up-selling additional products and supplies for that job
    • Answering customer questions and offering product advice
    • Accepting payment and applying it to the appropriate customer account
    • Arranging with the warehouse for customer product pickup

  • Glazier - WV

    OVERVIEW:  Candidate will be able to cut, grind, drill and polish glass.  This candidate will handle sheets of glass in the warehouse meeting the specifications of the customer’s request.  This candidate must have previous Glazier experience.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Knowledge how to install glass, doors, frames, and necessary hardware needed
    • Able to lift 100 – 150 lbs with assistance
    • Installs glass in millwork products, such as doors, window sashes, china closets, and office partitions: Places door or sash on worktable and inserts precut glass in opening, or inserts glass as products pass on conveyor, using either of following methods: Inserts precut molding into window opening around edges of glass and taps molding against glass edges, using hammer and wood block.
    • Tacks molding to frame, using hammer or staple gun.
    • Fastens glass into window opening, driving glazier’s points into frame over glass, using point-driving tool.
    • Presses and smoothes putty into angle formed by glass and wood to make joint watertight, using putty knife.
    • Spread sealing compound around edges of opening before inserting glass, using air gun or knife.
    • Fit framed glass into openings in doors and screw frame to door, using screwdriver.
    • Cut glass.
    • May be designated according to glass installed as Door-Glass Installer; Window Assembler.

    COMPETENCIES

    • At least 3 years of experience doing glazier work
    • Professional demeanor at all times
    • Good time management and organizational skills
    • Knowledge of math when using measurements

    OVERVIEW:

    Candidate will have previous experience in construction project management, be organized, motivated, detail-oriented and driven.

    • Communicate with trade partners and team members regarding new and current projects
    • Prepare estimates and purchase orders in detail for all products
    • Ensure timely completion of estimates

    TITLE:

    P/T Administrative Assistant – GLW

    OVERVIEW:

    Administrative Assistant will assist management in secretarial duties. We are looking for an individual who is efficient and comfortable being a member of a team. The ability to multi-task, while maintaining complex schedules and managing administrative support, is essential in this position. The ideal candidate for this job is resourceful, a good problem solver and organized. Assuring a steady completion of workload in a timely manner is key to success in this position.
